On 27th March, 2017 another milestone reached for King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok. KMUTNB and TU Chemnitz established Collaborative Center for Lightweight Structures Technologies at Science Technology and Research Institute (STRI), KMUTNB. Letter of Intent was signed between Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Lothar Kroll, CEO of Cluster of Excellence MERGE and Head of Department, Lightweight Structures and Polymer Technology Chemnitz University of Technology, Germany and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somrek Chandra-Ambhon, Vice President for Research and Technology Development, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok. Witnesses for this historical event at KMUTNB were H.E. Mr. Peter Prügel, Ambassador of German Federal Republic to Thailand, Prof. Dr. Eberhard Alles, Chancellor of Chemnitz University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Teravuti Booyasopon, Advisor to the KMUTNB Council and Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Suchart Siengchin, President of KMUTNB.
