King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) by research leader Professor Dr. Athakorn Kengpol received the first grant from EU to develop Master Degree curriculum for Thailand Industry 4.0. A grant from EU is extremely difficult to be awarded due to a fierce quality competition internationally. In 2017, EU received 756 International Proposals, however KMUTNB have succeeded to get a grant from EU title “Curriculum Development of Master’s Degree Program in Industrial Engineering for Thailand Sustainable Smart Industry -MSIE4.0”. This is the first grant to Thailand to be awarded in order to develop curriculum for Thailand Industry 4.0. Prof. Dr. Athakorn Kengpol, KMUTNB leader in the project has extensive research in Artificial Intelligence: AI and cyber physical system in which these technologies shall be embedded in the curriculum and be transferred to the industry in Thailand. The graduated student shall be equipped with skills in Artificial Intelligent (AI) Programming, Augmented Reality (AR), Cyber Physical System, Smart Manufacturing System, Data Mining of Big Data as well as Machine Learning, Civil Cyber Security etc.
